pesach

GREEN
This week we focused on the color green . We made green collages and hung them up on our bulletin board!
We gathered all the green objects from around our classroom!

PESACH

This week we spoke all about the upcoming Jewish holiday of Pesach. We sang so many new songs and had so much fun re - enacting the story of how the Jewish people worked so hard in Egypt under the rulership of King Pharoah.

We are working so hard on our pesach number book.

We used glue sticks to stick on the objects that we use at our seder table.

We stuck 2 candles on to our number two page.

We thought it was so cool when we used brown crayons  and colored our matzos with a LEGO BOARD UNDERNEATH...That made the matzahs look so bumpy. We even touched real matza to feel how bumpy it was. Morah let us touch some soft , smooth felt and we examined the difference how that felt and how the bumpy matza felt.

We have also been seeing a lot of creativity in the block center in our classroom. We have been building cool structures and buildings...We might have some architects in the making ;) ;) ;)

Purim

We finished celebrating purim .
we sang the song  TUNE: If you're happy and you know it...
If you hear the name of Achasverosh stamp your feet ....
If you hear the name of Mordechai clap your hands
If you hear the name of Haman say "boo"
If you hear the name of queen Esther shout "hooray".....

.We painted "haman" puppets with liquid brown paint.

We dot painted small plates for our Mishloach Monos Baskets

HAMANTASHEN!!

We had so much fun making hamantashen ( triangular purim cookies) and filling it with strawberry jelly.

PURIM MASQUERADE
