Dr visit

In connection with health month we had a Dr come to visit us on Monday. We spoke about how germs spread and he showed us how to wash our hands in the proper way to make sure we stay healthy:)

Chanukah

Chanukah is in the air!
We have begun hearing the story of chanuka! We painted our own menorah to bring home.

We played with dreidels and decorated dreidels with tissue paper to hang on our bulletin board.

When Morah put on some chanukah music , we broke out in a spontaneous dance...How adorable!!:) :) :)

Juice Bar

In connection with this month being Health Month , Mazel Parents Association created a gourmet juice bar for all the preschool classes. We had our own turn to go up the the Shule and watch how healthy vegetables and fruits mix together in a food processor to make delicious healthy drinks. We each had a turn to try a spinach, pineapple, mango drink ( which was green) and a strawberry, carrot, orange, apple, beet etc mix which was red. YUMMM! By eating healthy fruits and vegetables we grow big and strong.

RED

We started a new color this week  - RED!
We saw so many red objects at circle time and everyone had a turn to hold a red toy. We looked through our red blocks to see our whole room turn RED. We made RED collages with RED string, sticks, pompoms, tissue paper, sequins etc.

At circle time we  took turns SORTING  red pieces to put on the red circle and blue pieces to put on the blue circle.

Fall

This week we discussed fall. We acted out the trees. Trees grow strong and tall in the hot weather, but when it starts to get cold and windy, the leaves change color and start to fall off. We painted our own trees and stuck on all different color leaves. We went on a fall hunt to find leaves, and pinecones, ( and also to practise holding onto the rope before our big trip on Wednesday:)

We reviewed circles by doing exercises with CIRCLE bean bags.

We made leaf collages with the colorful leaves that we gathered on our trip.

Fall trip

We had such a beautiful time at the park today . We were such good listeners and held on to the rope so nicely.The weather was warm and gorgeous. We saw all different color leaves and trees: green, red, orange, yellow, and brown. We collected leaves in a bag. We played in the park and we threw and kicked leaves while we sang our "fall" song.

 It was a GREAT  learning through discovery experience for all the children.
