Chanukah

We have been so busy these last couple of weeks discussing the story of Chanukah. We made puppets which we used to help us retell the story. We sang the song: "oh Chanukah oh Chanukah...". We also had so much fun dancing to the Chanukah music in our classroom.

We decorated dreidels with stickers. We sang the song: I made a little dreidel..."

We made a menorah from popsickle sticks

SCIENCE

We did a science experiment where our Morah showed us that if we put a wick into water it wont burn, but if we put the same kind of wick into oil.....IT BURNS!

We lit one of our very own beautifully decorated shiny blue menorahs in our classroom and made the Bracha ( blessings) together.

This week , to add to the Chanukah spirit in our classroom, we made colorful icing and decorated donuts with icing and sprinkles for us to enjoy...

We reviewed our colors and can't wait to bring home our " Chanukah, what do you see" color book.
We painted our stick menorahs with red paint.

We painted a yellow paper for our chanukah color candle book.

MUSIC - When our music teacher came, we were so excited to each have a turn to play on her keyboard:
