We continued our unit on Community helpers . We discussed how all of us are needed to help out in our classroom. By everyone helping each other this creates a functional peaceful 'community'.

As part of our unit on "My Community", we asked each child to bring in 10 cents to be able to watch a concert prepared by preK and the money raised would be used to buy a new prayer book for the shule/Synagogue.

| We sat so nicely and watched the show. A Visit from MR GENA Our school is also a part of Our Community. When things break in our school , Mr Gena comes to fix them for us! We were so lucky that Mr Gena agreed to come and show us all his tools:) |

| We then read a book all about Daddy's tools. We had just seen all of those tools in Mr Gena's tool box! YELLOW We painted with yellow paint on the easel. We also painted a big yellow school bus for our classroom. |
